Ariel has become a staple in songwriting, singing and certainly slide guitar. His guitar slide is a stretched out version of our original small brass balltip. The balltip adds even more weight for long sustain and gives the ability to play on the tip. Served up 3 different ways in polished brass, nickel plated brass, or aged brass.

The Ball tip is a great slide, the weight is perfect. Unfortunately for me Ariel’s slide size is a bit too small for my pinky. The key is your finger should fit all the way in (like a glove) which allows you to use the tip as well as the length. There’s a joke trying to happen here.
So I called Danny at Rock Slide and he created a custom medium version for me. Same 59 mm length, just a bigger ring size 8.5-11. How’s that for service?! Rock Slide rules!!

I’ve purchased several of Ariel’s Signature Slides, both the polished brass and the special run of nickel plated slides. The small size fits perfectly on my pinky.
The slide is quite light which allows for nimble slide playing, but it is also weighted enough to give sufficient sustain. The unique feature is the ball tip which allows for playing behind the slide and also more accurate slide playing.
As with most slide players, I’ve purchased a number of slides that are collecting dust because of size, feel, too light or too. I had been using a tapered heavy brass slide that worked well for sustain but was clumsy to move quickly on the fretboard. Ariel’s ball tip slide replaced that heavy brass slide and is an awesome slide for nuanced slide work!

Can’t say enough GREAT things about this company and their amazing slides! Excellent, fast and first-class customer service. Within a half-hour of sending an email request to purchase a medium sized pinky balltip slide with a reduced length of 59mm, Danny emailed back to confirm my request/order. The next morning, Danny emailed to confirm ‘the surgery went well’ and my slide was ready to be shipped out. I received the new slide the following day and have not been able to put it down.
